H. Bruce McClaren

 

H. Bruce McClaren was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  After graduating from Lehigh University in l964 with a degree in finance, Mr. McClaren earned his MBA from Columbia University.  After graduation, he served 4 ½ years with the U.S. Navy, first as the Operations Officer/Navigator on the USS Colonial (LSD 18) and then his second tour was as a contract administration officer for the Defense Contract Administration Services Region/Chicago.

  In 1971, Mr. McClaren founded Partnership Concepts, a real estate syndication, brokerage and management company.  He is a licensed real estate broker and a member of the DuPage Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.  Mr. McClaren was the 1985 President of the Real Estate Securities and Syndication Institute (RESSI), which issued him the professional designation of Specialist in Real Estate Securities (‘SRS”) and for which Mr. McClaren was a senior instructor for professional syndication courses.  In addition, Mr. McClaren is a Certified Property Manager (“CPM”).  Mr. McClaren is also a founding member of the Real Estate Investment Association (REIA). Mr. McClaren has served as an active managing partner in more than 40 real estate partnerships, which operated more than $300 million of multi-family projects in suburban Chicago and Orlando.   PCRM, Inc., a property management subsidiary, continues to operate more than 2,000 apartments for these limited partners.  Partnership Concepts Realty Management, Inc. holds the AMO accreditation issued by the Institute of Real Estate Management.

  PC Home Investors has funded over seventy real estate limited partnerships to joint venture with or lend mezzanine money to developers of single-family housing in Illinois, Florida, Minnesota, Virginia and Arizona.  Financing by letter of credit, loan and equity participation in joint ventures has involved more than Eighty-five million dollars raised from hundreds of investors.  These housing ventures have developed new single family housing having a market value in excess of $1 Billion dollars.  Mr. McClaren, who has four children, lives in Hinsdale and enjoys flying, water sports, skiing and travel.

 

Howard W. Edison

Howard W. Edison is the co-general partner of Partnership Concepts, a real estate syndication and development firm, and is President of Partnership Concepts Realty Management, Inc., which operates approximately 3,600 multi-family units in the Orlando, Florida and Chicago area suburbs.  Mr. Edison is a member of the Institute of Real Estate Management and the International Association of Financial Planners, the National Multi-Housing Council, and is a board member of the Chicagoland Apartment Association.  He has active interests as a general partner and sponsor in many privately offered real estate limited partnerships owning Chicago and Orlando area properties.  Mr. Edison is a licensed Illinois general insurance broker.  Formerly a fire, casualty, property and marine underwriter for Aetna Life and Casualty Company prior to joining Partnership Concepts in 1979, Mr. Edison was the Vice-President and General Manager of a Chicago-based parking corporation.  He has been both a speaker and moderator at Multi-Housing World annual conventions, and has been featured in articles in Multi-Housing News and Chicago area real estate publications, and is a member of the Honorary Industry Advisory Board of Multi-Housing World.  Mr. Edison has been a part-time instructor of property management at the College of DuPage.
